Karachi Port Trust (KPT) is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Medical Officer to join its team in Karachi. KPT is the largest port in Pakistan, responsible for facilitating international trade and commerce through its modern facilities and infrastructure.
The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to KPT employees and their families, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the KPT Medical Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide primary healthcare services to KPT employees and their families, including diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the KPT Medical Centre, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and ordering medical supplies.
• Coordinate with external medical facilities for referral of patients requiring specialized treatment.
• Provide guidance and advice to KPT employees on health and wellness issues.
• Conduct health promotion activities and awareness campaigns on various health topics.
• Ensure compliance with KPT and regulatory policies and procedures related to healthcare services.
Requirements:
• MBBS degree from a recognized medical university.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Valid registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including fluency in English and Urdu.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare management systems.
