MOD Jobs 2023 | Ministry of Defense (MOD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our team.
As a Technical Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the MOD in the development, implementation, and management of various defense projects and programs.
You will be working with a team of engineers, scientists, and other professionals, and will be required to work on complex technical projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and advice to the MOD on defense projects and programs
- Develop and implement technical specifications and requirements
- Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of proposals and plans
- Monitor and evaluate technical performance of contractors and suppliers
- Develop and manage technical budgets and schedules
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans
- Prepare technical reports, briefings, and presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in defense or related field
- Knowledge of defense technologies, systems, and processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Willingness to travel frequently and work irregular hours
- Valid security clearance
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a government or military organization
- Professional certification in relevant field (e.g. Project Management Professional, Certified Defense Financial Manager)
