Job Description:
DMA is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to fill the role of Consultants – Disaster Management. The successful candidates will work as part of a team to provide disaster management services and will be responsible for developing and implementing disaster management plans and strategies. The consultants will also work to build capacity within the organization and provide training and guidance to other staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement disaster management plans and strategies
- Provide technical expertise and advice on disaster management issues
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare risk management plans
- Coordinate disaster response activities
- Provide training and guidance to other staff members
- Conduct research and prepare reports on disaster management best practices
- Liaise with stakeholders and partners to develop partnerships and collaborations
- Monitor and evaluate disaster management programs and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. disaster management, emergency management, public health, engineering, or related fields).
- At least 01 years of experience in disaster management or a related field
- Experience in developing and implementing disaster management plans and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of disaster management principles and best practices
