PEMRA Jobs 2023 | Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) is seeking a highly experienced and visionary professional to lead the organization as Chairperson.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the organization
- Develop and implement policies and regulations related to electronic media in Pakistan
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, media organizations, and civil society groups
- Oversee the issuance and renewal of licenses to electronic media organizations
- Ensure compliance with PEMRA’s code of conduct and regulations
- Manage the organization’s budget and resources
- Represent the organization in national and international forums
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Media Studies, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
- At least 20 years of relevant experience in media, regulatory affairs, or public administration
- Excellent knowledge of media regulations and industry practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Pakistani media landscape and legal system
Benefits:
The Chairperson will be appointed by the federal government for a term of four years, with the possibility of extension.
