PEMRA Jobs 2023 | Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) is seeking a highly experienced and visionary professional to lead the organization as Chairperson.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the organization
• Develop and implement policies and regulations related to electronic media in Pakistan
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, media organizations, and civil society groups
• Oversee the issuance and renewal of licenses to electronic media organizations
• Ensure compliance with PEMRA’s code of conduct and regulations
• Manage the organization’s budget and resources
• Represent the organization in national and international forums

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Media Studies, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
• At least 20 years of relevant experience in media, regulatory affairs, or public administration
• Excellent knowledge of media regulations and industry practices
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Pakistani media landscape and legal system

Benefits:

The Chairperson will be appointed by the federal government for a term of four years, with the possibility of extension.
