The Planning and Development Department of Pakistan is seeking Social and Technical Specialists to join its team. The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of social or technical issues, and experience in their respective fields.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, analysis, and provide recommendations related to social or technical issues in development projects.
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and programs related to social or technical aspects of development projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and affected communities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project staff on social or technical issues.
- Conduct capacity building workshops and trainings for project staff and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD degree in social sciences, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in social or technical issues, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective policies and programs.
- Strong knowledge of international and national policies and regulations related to social or technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement complex policies and programs.
- Experience working in a development context in Pakistan is desirable.
