Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the shipping operations of the company
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the shipping operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and crew management
- Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Monitor the financial performance of the company and develop strategies to improve profitability
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to shipping operations and management
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of the company’s operations
- Ensure compliance with national and international shipping regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management-related field, preferably in the shipping industry
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of national and international shipping regulations and standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
