Position: Director General
Qualification:
PhD in Natural Sciences/Engineering or equivalent degree from HEC recognized institution. Minimum 18 years of experience in scientific research, development, and management.
Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic direction and leadership to the organization in achieving its goals and objectives.
- Developing and implementing policies and programs to promote scientific and technological research and development in the country.
- Managing the budget and resources of the organization to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with national and international scientific communities, funding agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the organization.
- Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of scientific research and development, particularly in the natural sciences and engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of national and international funding agencies and scientific organizations.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to scientific research and development in Pakistan.
